Westview Set to Open Up Postseason Play Against KIPP-Memphis

The sun has set on the regular season, and the road back to Chattanooga has officially heated up. After starting the season 0-2, the Westview Chargers have rattled off 8 straight wins to finish the regular season at 8-2 overall and 5-0 in region play. This season has seen Quincy Hamilton exceed 1,000 receiving yards and Drew Shanklin rush for over 1,000 yards as well. The defense has been led by Hayden Smith and Nolan Pritchett, who have both eclipsed the 100 tackle mark. The KIPP-Memphis Phoenix are making only their 3rd trip to the playoffs, and they will look to shock west Tennessee on Friday night. KIPP-Memphis rolls into Martin with a 4-4 record on the year, while averaging 21.13 points per game and giving up 23.25. The stats and accolades are great and all, but none of that matters anymore. Anything can happen when the playoffs come around. Everyone is now winless and lossless, and they all share the same goal. The defending 2a state champions will look to blaze a new trail and leave a new legacy by taking it one game at a time. The road to Chattanooga starts on Friday night, and WUTM will be on the call. It'll be Davis Gregory, Jared Davidson, and Hannah Bilger bringing the action from Hardy-Graham Stadium with pregame at 6:45 and kickoff at 7:00 on WUTM 90.3 "The Hawk."
