The University of Tennessee at Martin officials determined that the damage to the Hardy Graham Football Stadium occurred during the 3.7 magnitude earthquake in April.
The earthquake, which shook the Mid-South the morning of April 24th, could be felt from Dyersburg to Memphis.
The cracks in the stadium were found after a routine inspection by the university this summer and construction began soon after.
UT Martin Chancellor Dr. Keith Carver says construction will continue through the spring semester and new visitor stands will hopefully be ready by fall.
