Starting Wednesday, schools across the Ohio Valley Conference will compete in the 2023 OVC Tournament for a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line. For UT Martin, both teams will be in the tournament for the first time since 2019. The women's team holds the five-seed while the men's team possesses the three-seed.
Women:
The Skyhawks will play Wednesday at 1 p.m. against the eight-seed Morehead State. UT Martin met the Eagles last Saturday when they won 74-60 which completed the regular season sweep for the Skyhawks. The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the quarterfinals to play the four-seed SEMO on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Men:
UT Martin earned the three-seed which granted the Skyhawks a first-round bye. The Skyhawks will await the winner of the SIUE vs. Southern Indiana game which will start at 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Tip-off for the quarterfinal is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Thursday. UT Martin split the regular season series with both SIUE and USI.
Davis Gregory and Jared Davidson will be on the call from the Ford Center on WUTM. Pregame for all the games UT Martin will play starts 15 minutes before tip-off.
