The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 983 new cases of COVID-19 across the state Monday, September 8, 2020.
The department also confirmed four deaths and 854 new recoveries.
Weakley County has 164 active cases, according to the department. Last Monday, the state said the Weakley had 373 active cases.
Obion County, the department reported, has 142 active cases.
Officials with the University of Tennessee at Martin say 28 students have COVID-19, along with two faculty or staff members.
