The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 1,856 new cases of COVID-19 across the state Wednesday, Sept. 17.
The department also reported 24 deaths and 1,542 new recoveries.
Weakley County has 100 active cases, the department reported, which is drop of 14 cases since Tuesday.
According to the department, Obion County has 124 active cases, which is up four from the day before.
University of Tennessee at Martin officials said 23 students have COVID-19, along with one faculty and staff member.
