Legendary Reported Dies

Veteran journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts died of complications from breast cancer yesterday at age 75.

Roberts was a broadcast journalist, but she was so much more than that. Prolific writer and trailblazer for female journalists, she won three Emmys and was best known for her work with ABC. Her top-notch reporting and analysis was also on display at NPR and PBS.

In 2008, Roberts was named a "Living Legend" by the Library of Congress.

ABC News President said "Cokie's kindness, generosity, sharp intellect and thoughtful take on the big issues of the day make ABC a better place and all of us better journalists."
