Group fitness classes at the University of Tennessee at Martin started again last week and are in full swing with just a few changes.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, each student is six feet apart during fitness classes, all equipment is sanitized before and after every use and masks are required to enter the Student Recreational Center.
Kasie Alexander is one of the group fitness instructors and is excited about teaching this semester.
"I am excited to be teaching four classes this year every week to provide enough group fitness time for all students," Alexander said.
This is Alexander's second year teaching group fitness classes at UT Martin.
Group fitness classes provided at UTM are party cycle, yoga chill, functional fitness, shake and shimmy, power yoga and circuit fit.
Group fitness classes are held in the north gym of the SRC.
