The OVC announced that UT Martin Junior Forward Chelsey Perry has been named OVC Player of the Week. Perry wins the award for a record-tying 7th time this season after averaging 32 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1 assist per game during 2 Skyhawk wins last week. Perry ranks third in the nation in points per game average with 22.5. She becomes just the 2nd player in OVC history to win the award 7 times in a single season, after former Skyhawk legend Jasmine Newsome. The two wins propelled UT Martin into sole possession of 1st place in the OVC standings. The team returns to action Thursday as they travel to regional rival Southeast Missouri.
