The OVC announced that UT Martin senior outfield Aalia Bivens has been named OVC Softball Player of the Week. Bivens wins the award after posting a .412 batting average with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs to guide the Skyhawks to a 5-1 record over the past week including 3 victories in the Huddle House Classic. The award marks the first time a Skyhawk has won the OVC Softball Player of the Week award since 2017. The team returns to action tonight as they take on SEC power and in-state rival Tennessee.
