The University of Tennessee at Martin will host the first recruitment reception for Hispanic Students on Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. in the Boling University Center's Welcome Center.
According to yesterday's press release, Spanish-language interpreters will be present for any student or family member in need of translations. Details for the Coleman Opportunity Scholarship will also be announced.
Students seeking higher education and considering UT Martin are invited to attend. The Lalo and Friends Salsa Band will perform at 5 p.m. in the Quad. Big band and dance lessons for attendees will begin at 4:30 p.m., and food trucks serving Mexican food will be available.
This appearance is co-sponsored by the UT Martin Office of Student Life and Multicultural Affairs, Department of Music, the Student Government Association and the Coleman Family Foundation.
