Students who were previously involved with band in high school are invited to join the UTM Aviators Marching Band this Fall. Scholarships are available to those who are interested in participating.
There is no audition required to be part of the Aviators Marching Band. According to Dr. Dr. Oelric, the director, if you were in your high school band, you have all the preparation you need. In addition, all students who are registered for Marching Band Class receive a $500 scholarship.

When you register for your fall classes you will need to register for Marching Band Class, MUEN 351, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30. When you register for classes during SOAR, or in general, use the CRN 40564.
Aviators Marching Band Camp dates have been tentatively set for Aug. 16-22, with the percussion, color guard and leadership team coming in Aug. 16-17 and the hornline coming in Aug. 18 for full band camp. The camp will end on Thursday, Aug. 22 in time for freshmen to participate in the activities for them on campus.
Students will be able to move into thier dorms early at no charge. Additionally, once camp starts, the band will cover meals in the dining hall.
Additionally, if you are interested in Wind Ensemble, there is an audition for entrance/seating. The class meets Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:20. Register using the CRN 40569.
