The UT Martin Men’s Basketball team picked up a desperately-needed victory over the weekend. The Skyhawks snapped a 4-game losing streak by overcoming a 7-point halftime deficit with a 79-to-76 win over S-I-U-E. As a team, UT Martin shot 60% from the floor in the second half to come up with the 3-point win. Senior forward Quintin Dove came off the bench and led the team with 18 points and 5 rebounds on the afternoon. Freshman guard Ja'Darrius Harris made his first career start with a 16 point, 4 assists performance. Sophomore guard Parker Stewart chipped in 17 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals, and Junior forward Mile Thomas tallied 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, to help carry the load for the Skyhawks. The team returns to action on Thursday as they travel to Eastern Kentucky.
