ISIS resurgence

According to a new Pentagon report, Turkish operations targeting America's Kurdish partners in Northern Syria and the US retreat in the area have given ISIS an opening to rebuild. Officials say the lack of attention on counterterrorism in the area has given the terrorist group a great ability to attack abroad.


Impeachment update

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the National Security Council's Ukraine expert, said yesterday in his testimony that he found the phone call between Ukraine and President Trump inappropriate. He also said the administration pushed false narratives about Ukraine, such as claiming that the country supported Hillary Clinton. Today, House Intelligence Committee members will hear from Gordon Sondland.


Epstein's death investigation

Two prison guards face federal charges in connection with Jeffrey Epstein's death. According to police report, the guards failed to complete the required prisoner counts. When they realized they hadn't completed their duties, they forged the documents to say they did. A federal grand jury charged them with conspiracy and filing false reports. The charge provides a detailed timeline leading up to the discovery of Epstein's body.
