Halloween festivities in Martin

The C.E. Weldon Library in downtown will host the annual Great Pumpkin Party and Parade Thursday afternoon to celebrate Halloween.

The Great Pumpkin Party is an annual tradition and will take place from 3 until 4 Thursday afternoon inside the Children’s Department at the library.  The event is free for children from Pre-K through 5th grade.  The party will include games, stories, face painting and more.

The Great Pumpkin Parade begins at 4 at the library and will tour local area downtown businesses for trick-or-treating.  Children and adult chaperones are encouraged to wear costumes, but it’s not required.

This annual event is sponsored by the C.E. Weldon Public Library, the UTM Chapter of S.T.E.A., and the Martin Historic Business District Association.  In the event of rain, the party will still take place in the library.
