An apparel company is planning to invest $7.5 million in an expansion into western Tennessee that is expected to create more than 220 jobs.
The Department of Economic and Community Development says that the VF Corporation will expand in Henning and Covington.
The company has a group of outdoor, active and workwear brands, including Vans, North Face, Timberland and Dickies.
Henning's manufacturing facility will create 162 jobs and the distribution plant in Covington will create 62 jobs.
“We are very proud of our operations in West Tennessee and couldn’t be more excited to expand our presence in this part of the state,” said Chris Holcombe, President of VF Workwear.
Governor Bill Lee said he is proud of this expansion, and he is excited about VF's presence in West Tennessee.
