City Hall, Public Library and Gateway Center to adjust hours

The City of Martin will limit public access to Martin City Hall, the CE Weldon Public Library and the Martin Gateway Center Mar. 16-29 because of the global coronavirus pandemic.

According to a City of Martin press release, officials request that residents who need access to City Hall use the drive-through window service and the drop box.

The release states that officials don't expect any disruption in services, but public meetings scheduled during the time will be rescheduled for April.

Residents are urged to contact staff at 731-587-3126 or by email info@cityofmartin.net.

CE Weldon Public Library employees will conduct an audit of inventory and prepare to move to the new Martin Public Library next year.

Residents can contact the library during regular work hours, which are Mon. - Fri., 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m, at 731-587-3148. The library will continue providing digital services, the city said.

The release said it is extending loan periods. It is not necessary to return materials until March 30; however, the book drop is open and one can call the library to renew materials.
