The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 2,489 new cases of COVID-19 across the state Monday, Oct. 6, 2020.
The department also confirmed 20 deaths and 817 recoveries.
They reported Weakley County has 139 active cases, which is a net gain of 18 cases.
Obion County has 238 cases, they said, which is a net gain of 42 cases. Monday's total is the highest number of active Obion County cases since Sept. 2.
University of Tennessee at Martin officials said there are 45 active student cases and four faculty or staff cases.
