Redshirt Freshman Quarterback John Bachus III made his presence known last week in UT Martin’s 55-14 rout over Tennessee Tech. Bacchus threw for a career high 331 passing yards with no interceptions. He also achieved a career high in passing touchdowns with five on the night. This performance earned him his first OVC Offensive Player of the Week award and his second OVC Newcomer of the Week award. The young QB will try to repeat his performance from last week next Saturday, as the Skyhawks will take on Eastern Illinois.
