The women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. went door to door Monday afternoon collecting residents' trash during their Dorm Clean Up in Ellington and Browning Hall.
Financial Secretary Jasmyn Pilcher believes that small gestures can go a long way and that the residents really appreciated what they did.
"It's the beginning of the semester, and we wanted to help people out," said Pilcher. "People have been really appreciative, and I think we've helped a lot of people out."
Delta Sigma Theta strives to participate in community service because it provides students with the opportunity to become active members on campus and in the community.
