The UT Martin department of music and visual and theatre arts partnered to host a production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
It will show at 8 p.m. on Nov. 7-9 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the Harriet Fulton Theatre in the Fine Arts Building.
The musical tells the story of students competing in the Putnam Valley Middle School "where the struggles of children are blown up for everyone to see," said cast member Hunter Burton.
Burton also warns that though the show is about children, it may be too mature for younger viewers.
Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased or reserved from 8-5 in the Department of Visual and Theatre Arts main office in room 201 of the Fine Arts Building next week.
