The UT Martin Men's basketball team suffered another tough defeat over the weekend. The Skyhawks fell on the road to conference opponent Morehead State 85-77. In a game that featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes and UTM holding the lead for 15 minutes in the first half, the Skyhawks just could not finish the job. 97% of UT Martin's offense came from 3 players. Sophomore Parker Stewart poured in 33 points tying his career-high to go with 8 rebounds. Senior Quintin Dove 24 points and 13 rebounds en route to another double-double while fellow Senior Derek Hawthorne Jr. scored 18 points and grabbed 4 steals on the evening. The loss dropped the Skyhawks to 1-3 on the 4-game road trip and now two games outside of the 8th and final spot in the OVC Tournament standings. The team will look to right the ship on Thursday night as they open a 2-game homestand by hosting Tennessee Tech.
