The UT Martin Men’s Basketball team dropped a tough loss over the weekend. The Skyhawks lost at home to Jacksonville State 75-61, while shooting just 36 percent from the floor. The poor shooting resulted in a season-low 61 points for the Skyhawks, 16 points below their normal average. Parker Stewart led the team with 16 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds on the day. Derek Hawthorne posted 13 points and 10 rebounds for his second career double-double, while Miles Thomas put up 13 points and 8 rebounds, with Quintin Dove chipping in 10. The team returns to action Thursday in desperate need of a win as they travel to regional rival Southeast Missouri.
