The UT Martin Men's Basketball team led Southeast Missouri for all but 35 seconds of game time last night but ultimately came up short.

The Skyhawks fell on the road 74-72 in a loss that hurts the Skyhawks' chances of making the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in 3 weeks. The Skyhawks led by as many as 13 in the first half and held a 6-point lead with under a minute to play, but SEMO mounted a furious rally to come out with the win.

Quintin Dove scored a game-high 24 points and 6 rebounds, Parker Stewart added 15 points, while Miles Thomas scored 12 points with five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the losing effort.

The team returns to action Saturday as they host Eastern Illinois. Tipoff from the Elam Center is at 2:00. You can catch all the action live on WUTM-FM 90.3 "The Hawk".
