On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Dr. Andy Lewter sent out an email to all UT Martin students saying that a person who worked in the mailing services was experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

The person was tested and the mail services was closed on Wednesday to be cleaned.

On Thursday, students got an email saying that the person had tested negative and the mail services will reopen on Friday.

Lewter suggested that students continue to practice social distancing measures. UTM is working with the Tennessee Department of Health "to follow the guidelines to ensure the safety and health of the campus community."

Weakley County has no reported cases of the coronavirus.
