The UT Martin Women's Basketball team saw their 6-game winning streak come to a screeching halt last night. The Skyhawks fell on the road to Eastern Illinois by a final score of 74-70. The Skyhawks led by as much as 12 in the 3rd quarter, but late runs by Eastern Illinois led to a Panther victory. Reigning OVC Player of the Week Chelsey Perry led the Skyhawks with another big night, scoring 35 points and nabbing 8 rebounds. Maddie Waldrop returned from injury by adding 16 points and 9 rebounds on the night. The team will look to rebound on Saturday afternoon as they travel to SIUE.
