The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 1,561 new cases of COVID-19 across the state Wednesday, September 23.
The department reported 14 deaths and 1,871 new recoveries.
They said Weakley County has 126 active cases, which is an increase of 11 cases.
According to the department, Obion has 139, which is the same as Tuesday's total.
University of Tennessee at Martin officials confirmed 39 active student cases, along with two faculty or staff cases.
UT Martin Chancellor Dr. Keith Carver entered quarantine last Thursday, Sept. 17 and will remain there until Sunday.
