The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed 1,936 new cases of COVID-19 across the state Wednesday, August 26.
The department also confirmed 20 additional deaths and 1,730 recoveries.
Weakley County has 383 active cases, which is up four from Tuesday, according to the department. They say Obion County has 287, which is up two.
Officials at the University of Tennessee at Martin reported 20 students currently have the virus, along with one faculty or staff member.
Officials reported 15 students had tested positive as of Tuesday.
