SOARx teamed up with the Weakley County Prevention Coalition to bring Martin's Drug Take Back Day to UT Martin's campus.
The drug drop boxes are located permanently on UT Martin's campus, and members of SOARx were available in the UC on Friday to answer questions about this movement.
Drug Take Back Day is intended to encourage students, faculty and staff to drop off unused or expired prescription medications.
Drug Take Back Day was on Saturday for Weakley County, but the university wanted to bring the issue to campus.
President of SOARx, Nicole Matney, believes Drug Take Back Day is important for college students.
