UT Martin motivates students to changes in healthy habits

The University of Tennessee at Martin has upcoming chances for students to evaluate and make changes to their mental and physical habits. According to a 2016 survey by HealthLine, 39 percent of students struggle with at least one mental illness.

Student Health and Counseling Services invites students to complete a mental health screening located on the website. The screening is free and anonymous and they provide immediate feedback.

To make an appointment to discuss results with a counselor, call 731-881-7750. Counseling services are free for student.

Students looking to get active can take part in a Healthy Hawk Walk with Chancellor Carver at noon on six different days through the spring and summer semester.
