Updated: Feb 9, 2023

On Monday night, the UT Martin Women's Basketball team (10-13) found their way back into the win column with an 80-60 win over the Evansville Purple Aces (10-11). This game was a makeup due to weather conflicts as both teams were originally scheduled to play on December 22nd.

The win marked the 100th road win for UT Martin under Head Coach Kevin McMillan. The starting five for UT Martin was all underclassmen with graduate Seygan Robins out and fellow graduate Paige Pipkin still being under a minutes restriction. Sophomore guard Shae Littleford was the only player in the starting five who wasn't a freshman.

Diamond Cannon was the third Skyhawk in double figures with 12 points off the bench.

Evansville had four players in double figures with Abby Feit (12), Kynidi Mason Striver (12), Barbora Tomancova (11), and Myia Clark (10). The Purple Aces made 30-37 free throws and outrebounded UT Martin 30-20. Evansville was held to 37.8% shooting from the floor.
