Predators Go 1-1 In First Two Games of the Season

The Nashville Predators opened the season at home with a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild. Five different Nashville Predators scored goals as Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson, Mikael Granlund, Austin Watson, and Ryan Ellis found the back of the net. Matt Duchene made an impact from the jump by assisting on three of the Predators five goals. Ryan Ellis earned the first star of the night by adding onto his goal with an assist and a rating of +4.

The second game was not as rewarding as the first was for the Nashville Predators. The Preds fell to the Detroit Red Wings 5-3 Saturday night at home. Despite the loss there were still some positives to be found in this game. Matt Duchene earned the third star of the night with two assists, and the power play unit was able to strike with a goal from Viktor Arvidsson.
