Nashville Struggling in Last 4 Games

The Nashville Predators saw their two game winning streak come to a quick end when they fell to the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 on January 15th. Leon Draisaitl netted two goals on five shots and Connor McDavid assisted on three of Edmonton's four goals. Filip Forsberg, who was the only bright spot for the Predators, earned the second star of the night with one goal.

Still licking their wounds from the loss in Edmonton, the Predators dropped another game when they lost to the Anaheim Ducks at home 4-2. The loss dropped the Predators into sole possession of last place in the Central Division. Viktor Arvidsson and Mikael Granlund were responsible for Nashville's two goals.

In the last game before the All-Star Break the Predators were able to grab a 2-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Pekka Rinne stopped 30 shots while Craig Smith and Ryan Johansen scored the two goals for Nashville.

After the break, Nashville was back to their losing ways when they were routed 5-2 by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Predators took a game high 36 shots, but were only able to score twice. Nashville will be back on the ice when they take on the best team in the Metropolitan Division, the Washington Capitals. The game will be in Washington D.C. and puck drop is scheduled for 6:30 P.M.
