In the second to last game of the home stand the Nashville Predators were able to bounce back from their loss to the Detroit Red Wings with a 5-2 win against the San Jose Sharks last night. The captain Roman Josi netted two goals, and Filip Forsberg scored his third goal of the season.
In their last game at home until October 19th, the Preds staged an incredible comeback against the Washington Capitals to win 6-5. Nashville scored four of their six goals in the third period with the game winning goal coming from Mattias Ekholm with only 4:40 remaining left in the game.
Nashville started out their road trip with a crushing 7-4 loss to the Los Angeles Kings. After being down all game, the Preds started to show signs of life in the third period by tying the game up at four with 8:30 to go in the third period. The Kings quickly shut down Nashville’s comeback with three straight goals from Alex Iafallo, Dustin Brown, and Drew Doughty.
After their failed comeback attempt against the Kings, the Predators took out their anger on the Las Vegas Golden Knights in a dominating 5-2 win. A power play goal by Nick Bonino in the 3rd period marks the fifth straight game with a power play goal for the Nashville Predators. Kyle Turris has started to play like his regular self after struggling all of last season. Turris earned the first star of the night with one goal and one assist.
